Clinical and Research/Innovation Fellowship in Structural Heart Disease – 12-Month Advanced Fellowship (2026 Intake)
About the Role
Macquarie University Hospital (MUH) is an internationally leading high-volume centre in Structural Heart Disease. The MUH Structural Heart Disease program is integrated with a translational research program that spans advanced imaging, artificial intelligence, device bioengineering to cutting-edge clinical trials of novel Structural Heart interventions including new transcatheter mitral & tricuspid technologies.
Macquarie University Hospital is seeking an exceptional cardiology trainee or early-career cardiovascular clinician to join our Structural Heart Disease program in a Fellowship that integrates multidisciplinary clinical training in advanced Structural Heart Disease with training in Structural Heart Disease research and innovation. As the Structural Heart Fellow, you will work closely with a high-performing multidisciplinary Heart Team in the diagnosis, planning, and management of patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and other structural heart.

Clinical training will be tailored to the Structural Heart Disease sub-specialty interest of the successful candidate (e.g. advanced imaging, heart failure management and/or SHD interventions). The role combines clinical exposure with dedicated time for active involvement in biomedical innovation, research, and academic development.
